Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all rentals made through IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao. By making a reservation — via our website, WhatsApp, or any other channel — you agree to the conditions below.

1. General

By completing a reservation with IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao, the renter confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions set out on this page. These terms apply to all vehicles in our fleet and all rental periods.

2. Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle with IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao, all drivers must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age: 23 years
• Minimum driving experience: 1 year
• Valid driver’s license must be presented at pickup
• Valid government-issued ID must be presented at pickup

All additional drivers must meet the same requirements and must be registered at the time of booking.

3. Reservations & Payments

• Reservations can be made via our website booking form or WhatsApp
• Payment is made at pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing
• No hidden fees — the price shown is the price you pay
• IslandGo reserves the right to cancel a booking if the renter does not meet the requirements at pickup

4. Security Deposit

A security hold may be required at pickup depending on the coverage plan selected:

• Basic Coverage — $750 security hold
• Medium Coverage — $500 security hold
• Full Coverage — No security hold required

The hold is placed on your payment card at pickup and released in full following the safe return of the vehicle in its original condition.

5. Insurance & Coverage

IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao offers three levels of coverage:

All plans include third-party liability coverage. The renter is responsible for any damages not covered by their selected plan. IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao is not liable for damages caused by reckless driving, driving under the influence, or unauthorized use of the vehicle.

6. Vehicle Use

The rented vehicle may only be used in accordance with the following conditions:

• No illegal use of the vehicle under any circumstances
• No driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Only authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle
• The vehicle must remain within Curaçao unless expressly agreed otherwise
• The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, or off-road driving

7. Fuel Policy

The vehicle is provided with a set fuel level at pickup. The renter is required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level. Failure to do so may result in a refueling charge.

8. Delivery & Pickup

IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao offers vehicle delivery and return collection at:

• Hato International Airport
• Hotels and accommodations across Curaçao

Delivery availability and any applicable fees will be confirmed at the time of booking.

9. Cancellations

• Cancellations made before the rental start date are fully free of charge
• No cancellation fees apply
• For cancellations after the rental start date, please contact us directly via WhatsApp or email

10. Traffic Violations & Fines

The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or penalties incurred during the rental period. This includes but is not limited to speeding fines, parking violations, and toll charges. IslandGo will forward any fines received after the rental period to the renter.

11. Vehicle Condition

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was received, including:

• No new damage to the exterior or interior
• Same fuel level as at pickup
• All original accessories and documents intact

Damage beyond the coverage selected will be charged to the renter’s security deposit or payment method.

12. Personal Belongings

IslandGo Car Rental Curaçao is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle during or after the rental period. We recommend removing all personal items before returning the vehicle.
